Keystone Progress says Congress is intent on fighting old political battles when focus should be economy
The Supreme Court has ruled that Obamacare is constitutional. But again today Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick refused to move on and told American families in Pennsylvania to drop dead when he voted to take away their health care. Rep. Fitzpatrick voted to again to let insurance companies deny families care because of preexisting conditions. He voted to throw millions of senior citizens back into the prescription drug donut hole. He voted to kick millions of young adults off their parents insurance.
"It is clear where the Republicans' priorities are," said Keystone Progress Executive Director Michael Morrill. "Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick is siding with his campaign donors - the health insurers who want to continue rigging the system and keeping people who really need health insurance from getting the care they need," continued Morrill.
And just in case that heartless vote wasn't bad enough, this is the same Congressman who supports the Romney/Ryan budget that ends Medicare while giving huge tax cuts to millionaires, big oil companies and corporate jet owners.
